the client
Barnacre Holiday Cottages is a beautiful collection of three lovingly restored and created holiday cottages tucked in the corner of an ancient village in Wirral.
Two cottages occupy a converted 250 year old barn and a third is recently built from green oak frame and lime panels, with a zero carbon footprint. The owners have carefully preserved the detail and character of the barn, while filling the cottages with every comfort possible. The site is virtually self-sufficient for energy, electricity and heating and has its own natural waste water treatment system. Everything about Barnacre is based on simplicity, respect for the environment and on quality of life.

what we did
After a detailed site visit and discussion with the client on their philosophy we created a website which reflects Barnacre’s peaceful setting, the superb standards and its unique offer, which includes a one acre coarse fishing lake, private hot tubs and a superb heated indoor pool. We took all the photographs, wrote, designed and built the site including online booking (syncing traffic from two separate booking providers).

what the client thought
The owner, Russell Keenan, was delighted with the website, which he describes as being 'in a different order of magnitude’ to his previous one. He immediately commissioned us to create a new companion website for his coarse fishery at Barnacre. Work on this is already underway.
The site accepts direct bookings and syncs with multiple other online booking channels
